​From October 28 to November 1 2018, Li Hongmei, the secretary of the university party committee led a delegation to visit a number of universities in the United States.  

During the visit, Li Hongmei and her entourage were invited to visit DePaul University, Dominican University and Edgewood College University and had meetings with the principals of the three universities. 

DePaul University was founded in 1898, it is a top private research university in the U.S. and has business school, law school, education school, media school, computer and digital media school, etc. It was rated the first-class national university. During the visit, Li Hongmei’s delegation discussed with the representatives of the DePaul University on establishing the Sino-foreign cooperative education projects for Pre-school Education, which is hoped to be approved for recruitment next year. Both parties signed the Memorandum of Understanding. 

Dominican University is a top-level University in the Midwest of the U.S.. It was founded in 1901 and can award bachelor’s and master’s degrees. During the visit, Li Hongmei’s group discussed the 3+2 joint degree course in Education with their representatives and signed the cooperation agreement. 

The University of Edgewood College is located in Madison, Wisconsin. Founded in 1927 it is a private independent liberal arts university. Li Hongmei’s group discussed the undergraduate students exchange programmed, Master’s student exchange in Education and faculty members of the university going to study the Ph.D. programme in Higher Education Leadership. Both parties signed the Memorandum of Understanding. 

The head of the Foreign Cooperation and Exchange Office, Academic Affairs Office, College of Music and College of Education and Psychology participated in the visit.
