A Delegation of the Indonesian Consulate General Guangzhou Visited Our University

On the afternoon of September the 28th, the Indonesian Consul General Gustnto in Guangzhou and his delegation visited our university. Representatives of the two parties held working meetings in the conference room on the third floor of the Office Building. The meeting was hosted by the head of the Foreign Cooperation and Exchange Department. Principal Lin Qiang and relevant staff from the party and government office as well as the International Education College attended the meeting. 

Principal Lin Qiang gave a detailed introduction about the university’s history, teaching characteristics, school faculty and the international students. He suggested the Indonesian Consulate General Guangzhou to encourage and assist students to apply for the scholarship programme to study in China and attract more Hainan Indonesian students to study with us. He also hoped the consulate could recommend institutions and universities to establish cooperative relationship with our university.   

Consul General Gustnto very much agree with the Principal Lin Qiang’s education insight, he said that in the region where he is affiliated, the number of Indonesian students in Hainan is less than that in Guangzhou, Guangxi and Fujian. He hoped that our university could increase the scholarship for Indonesian students. He intended to do his best to promote the exchange of students and teachers through the resources of Consulate General.
