On the afternoon of January 14th, our school held the Summary Meeting of Haikou-basedColleges and Universities regarding the Second Batch of “Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind”Theme Education of the Ninth Tour Guidance Group of the Provincial Party Committee in the lecture hall on the second floor of Tian Jiabing.School leaders Li Hongmei, Lin Qiang and Li Sen attended the meeting, and Guo Yiqiu, the leader of the Ninth Tour Guidance Group of the Second Batch of Theme Education of the Provincial Party Committee , and his colleagues attended the meeting.

Party Committee members Wang Renbin, Huang Yijun, Shen Fuke, Gao Wencai, party members and cadres at or above the deputy department level, all party branch secretaries, faculty members and representatives of student party members attended the meeting.

The meeting was chaired by Guo Yiqiu, Head of the Ninth Tour Group.He pointed out that the meeting was held in accordance with the relevant arrangements and requirements of the provincial party committee, and then introduced the theme and agenda of the meeting.

First of all, the Secretary of the Party Committee of each university made a report.Li Hongmei, Secretary of the Party Committee of our school, spoke on behalf of our school. She pointed out in her report that since the implementation of the theme education of “Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind”, the Party Committee and all party members and cadres of our school have effectively promoted the theme education in a down-to-earth manner in strict accordance with the deployment requirements of the provincial party committee and under the careful guidance of the Ninth Tour Guidance Group of the Provincial Party Committee on theme education, achieving the expected goals and requirements.First, innovative learning, effectively improving political position and ideological realm;Second, the school responds to concerns and seeks happiness for teachers and students to solve practical problems;Third, strengthen responsibility, highlight the leadership of party building, and improve the level of running schools;Finally, she said that theme education is always on the road, and responsibility implementation can only be carried out when it is not completed.Guided byXi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, we will continue to maintain the momentum of entrepreneurship, resolutely implement the decision-making arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the requirements of the Provincial Party Committee and the Ninth Tour Guidance Group , promote the modernization of school governance system and governance capacity with institutional construction as the starting point, actively connect with the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port, and strive to build a high-level university with distinctive characteristics of teacher education, notitial in forgetting the intention of educating people, keeping in mind the mission of the times, and making greater contributions to realizing the “Two Centenary Goals”and the Chinese dream of great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Subsequently, the Party Committee Secretaries of Qiongtai Normal University, Hainan Vocational College of Political Science and Law and Hainan Vocational and Technical College of Economy and Trade made concluding remarks on behalf of their respective thematic education activities.

After concluding the speeches of colleges and universities, Comrade Lin Haiying commented on the effectiveness of theme education in four colleges and universities in Haikou area on behalf of the Ninth Tour Guidance Group of the Second Batch of Theme Eucdation of the Provincial Party Committee, and conveyed it to the relevant arrangements of the Provincial Party Committee.Lin Haiying pointed out in the comrades’ comments that Hainan Normal University adheres to the main activities of teacher education, adheres to the problem-oriented study, research and rectification, and holds thousands of classrooms many times to stimulate the entrepreneurial enthusiasm of teachers and students, and has obtained six national first-class undergraduate majors and 10 academician workstations (centers). It has become a national key training unit for college of Marxism, forming a series of new methods and a number of long-term mechanisms, becoming the only unit in the province to exchange experience at the provincial theme education promotion meeting, and she commented on the other three universities.Lin Haiying emphasized that entrusted by Guo Yuqiu, the team leader conveyed several opinions in accordance with the relevant arrangements of the Provincial Party Committee.First, we must further implement the important exposition spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping on theme education;Second, we must firmly establish “Four Consciousnesses”, strengthen “Four Matters of Confidence”, consciously achieve “Two Maintenance”, and put political construction in the first place;Third, we must further do a good job in rectification and reform, and we must effectively solve problems;Fourth, we must constantly consolidate and expand the achievements of thematic education;Fifth, we should concentrate our efforts to promote the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port.

Finally, Guo Yiqiu made a concluding speech.He pointed out that the speeches of the four Party secretaries of colleges and universities were summed up in place.On this theme education activity, he talked about his personal feelings, and explained the relationship between education and national rejuvenation, education and national development, education and social civilization, education and personal destiny development, and the relationship between the theme education activity of “Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind” and the fate of the party and the country in a simple way.Finally, he hopes that the educators will not forget their original intentions and keep their mission in mind, and continue to make new contributions to education and cultivate more talents for the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port.
