On the morning of February 18th, the school held an online teaching conference in the conference room on the third floor of the first administrative building of Longkun South Campus.President Lin Qiang, responsible comrades of Party and Government Office, Propaganda Department, Student Affairs Office, Academic Affairs Office and other relevant departments of Academic Affairs Office attended the on-site meeting, and some comrades of Academic Affairs Office attended the meeting via video.

First of all, the person in charge of the Academic Affairs Office made a report on the implementation of online teaching preparation in the early stage of the school.He pointed out that according to the development of the epidemic situation, the Academic Affairs Office of the school planned and deployed the work of “stopping classes and not stopping learning” as early as possible: First, it issued the “Notice on Doing a Good Job in Online Curriculum Submission in the Delayed Start-up Stage of the Second Semester of the 2019-2020 School Year” and “The Work Plan for the Second Semester of the 2019-2020 School Year”, clearly put forward the requirements for delaying the education and teaching work during the start-up period;Second, organize colleges to carry out online curriculum placement, statistics, testing and other aspects;Third, it is planned to open 794 online courses in the second semester of the 2019-2020 school year.

Lin Qiang fully affirmed the preliminary work of the Academic Affairs Office, and pointed out that during the epidemic prevention and control period, the comrades of the Academic Affairs Office did not take holidays, which did a lot of work for the preparatory work of online teaching in schools.Lin Qiang and the participating members discussed the difficulties and problems in online teaching.

According to the actual situation of the school, Lin Qiang made plans on how to do well the next online teaching work in the school: First, all functional departments and college teams should enhance their awareness and sense of responsibility and mission.It is necessary to fully realize that during the epidemic period, doing a good job in online teaching is an important measure to implement the requirements of the Ministry of Education and the Provincial Department of Education on “stopping classes without stopping teaching, stopping classes without stopping learning” and doing a good job in students’ learning.To fully realize that online teaching is necessary to adapt to the future development trend, normal universities should take the initiative to do online teaching.Dean of each college should fulfill the responsibility of the first responsible person, take the lead in raising awareness, and lead all teachers to do a good job in online teaching during epidemic prevention.Second, the Academic Affairs Office should strengthen organizational guidance.Relying on various online course platforms at all levels and online learning spaces in schools, we will actively carry out online teaching activities such as online teaching and online learning to ensure the teaching progress and quality during the epidemic prevention and control period.At the same time, the school should take advantage of the large-scale implementation of online teaching, sum up experience, collect high-quality resources, complete a series of integrated online teaching systems from primary school, middle school to university, and include them in the “14th Five-Year Plan”.Third, the Academic Affairs Office should organize a meeting of teaching deans of the whole school.Colleges should attach great importance to it, arrange their online teaching work comprehensively and scientifically according to the characteristics of online teaching, deepen the reform of teaching and research, strengthen the management and overall planning of online teaching, and form a detailed teaching plan from February 24th to March 20th, 2020.Fourth, teachers in the whole school should raise their political awareness, reduce burdens and increase efficiency, and identify and use high-quality online resources. The resources should be appropriate, not too much, the platform should be applicable, the length of online teaching should not be too long, and electronic teaching materials or handouts should be distributed to students in advance. And conduct online course tests in advance;Teachers and students are required to interact effectively and establish an inspection mechanism.Fifth, the Student Affairs Office should actively guide students to study independently, and pay attention to the ideological education and mental health guidance of students.Sixth, the Propaganda Department should create a good public opinion environment, strengthen the online reporting of teaching achievements, better spread the voice of naval masters, and create a good image of the school.

Finally, Lin Qiang emphasized that the next step of online teaching is burdened, time is tight and pressure is high.We must ensure that the teaching requirements of the whole school are implemented in detail, that the teaching quality standards are not lowered, and that the objectives and tasks of personnel training are not lost.He emphasized that in such a special period, the HNU faculty should not be afraid of hardship and make concerted efforts, and all party members, cadres and teachers should do their job well to contribute to the country and society.
