In the employment season of 2020, graduates are facing “double pressure”because of the coronavirusepidemic.There are more than 5,700 graduates in our school in 2020, an increase of 16.35% compared with 2019. The task of graduates’ employment is even more arduous. How to win the war “epidemic”, at the same time, remain the original aspiration of educatingstudents, do a good job in graduates’ employment, reduce the special impact of epidemic prevention and control on the majority of graduates, and then turn “crisis” into “opportunity” to promote graduates’ higher quality and fuller employment, which is currently a big task for school.The Party Committee of the school requires all the employment staff of the school to improve their political position, unify their understanding, adhere to the principle of “taking students as the foundation”, avoid holidays, do all the preparatory work, and start a series of online recruitment activities in spring 2020.

Weaving the “responsibility” networkfor employment.The Party Committee of the school comprehensively studied and implemented the requirements of the CPC Central Committee, the State Council, the Hainan Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government on doing a good job in the employment of college graduates, attached great importance to it, and made overall plans for the prevention and control of epidemic situation and the employment of graduates. The President, Secretary of the Party Committee of the school, took the lead in implementing the “first-in-command” project in employment work, organized the Admissions and Employment Office and other relevant departments to seriously study the impact of the epidemic situation on the employment of graduates, adjusted working ideas and innovated working methods. On February 18,the Employment Work Plan of Graduates during Prevention and Control of Pneumonia in COVID-19 of Hainan Normal University was issued, which further improved the employment measures, refined the employment and the “full employment responsibility system”, provided ideas for the employment of graduates in special periods, made clear the requirements and found the right direction.Before February 22nd, 21 colleges held a video conference of employment leading group in time according to the school’s deployment, and put forward 21 employment programs for graduates during the prevention and control of pneumonia in COVID-19.The whole school worked together to weave a “responsibility” network for employment and draw a battle map. All the leaders and teachers of the school issued a solemn undertaking to all graduates and society in 2020.

Creating the “caring” network for employment.On February 18th, in order to facilitate graduates to go through all kinds of formalities, our school issued the “Guidelines on Handling Employment Procedures of Graduates during Epidemic Prevention and Control Period”, which simplified the handling process and provided warm-hearted mail service for graduates.From February 22nd, in order to pass more caring to graduates and help students stabilize their employment, the school will carry out six aspects of employment guidance measures online: First, timely promote the national and provincial employment policies to graduates; Second, launch cooperation with well-known domestic career education and employment guidance service companies such as Rennengda and Beisen to provide graduates with a training platform for job hunting ability free of charge, guide students to familiarize themselves with the job search process and prepare for job hunting;Third, select and push a batch of employment guidance online course resources for graduates to choose, and to promote the college to produce short videos of employment guidance with professional characteristics;Fourth, a group of senior career instructors and career teachers will be organized to carry out online one-to-one employment consultation activities and provide personalized employment guidance services.Fifth, a series of interviews with outstanding graduates will be launched through the employment platform or official Wechat account, which will publicize the good stories of employment and typical stories of graduates’ employment, play an exemplary role, and provide more direct help for graduates to understand the workplace.Sixth, it is planned to hold a video contest of resume production and self-introduction, so as to enhance graduates' job-seeking ability.

In addition, the school also requires each college to arrange the employment intention, employment progress, employment psychology and service demand of every graduate, especially those in key epidemic areas, especially for graduates with academic difficulties, economic difficulties, disabilities, psychological problems, zero-employment families, key epidemic areas, etc., and organize air employment guidance service activities according to the characteristics of college graduates, and coordinate the graduation and employment of graduates.For example, the School of Geography and Environmental Sciences will organize a series of employment activities of “Online Recruitment” to protect the employment of graduates.Every practical measure and every warm-hearted action reflects the caring of the school leaders and teachers for graduates.

Broaden the “channel” network for employment.The school actively builds an online service platform for college students’ job search, and moves the recruitment from offline to online. On March 9 and 10, it will jointly hold the “Spring-seasonair-borne double election Meeting for 2020 Graduates of Hainan Normal University” with Hainan Provincial Human Resources Development Bureau and Zhaopin.com for the first time.To this end, our school has launched various colleges to form a recommendation group, and sent invitation messages to 838 employers who have settled in our school’s employment network, inviting employers to participate in theair-borne double election. As of the evening of February 27th, 119 employers and 610 students have signed up for the firstair-borne double election, and this activity continues.In April, our school will hold the secondair-borne double election meeting jointly with Hainan branch of Zhipin.com .

The school will do a good job in organizing and managing a series of “online double election”, and the employer will carry out aerial publicity meetings through the free live broadcast or recorded broadcast online platform provided by the school, so as to realize online direct interviews between the employer and graduates, and encourage graduates to “stay at home, solve employment with keyboard, select positions, and obtain Offer”.
