On the morning of August 6th, the Opening Ceremony of the Base for the Aesthetic Education Infiltration Action Plan of the Ministry of Education and exhibition of aesthetic education achievements was held in Liandong Middle School, Wenchang City, Hainan Province. This is an important activity to promote universities in our province to carry out aesthetic education infiltration action plan after the project “Hainan Normal University Academy of Fine Arts Counterpart Support Wenchang Liandong Middle School” was selected into the list of 20 universities in the “Sports and Aesthetic Education Infiltration Action Plan of the Ministry of Education” in November 2019.

The opening ceremony was presided over by the person in charge of the Academy of Fine Arts of our school.Mo Wenji, president of Wenchang Liandong Middle School, gave a welcome speech; Hang Guangrun of Wenchang Education Bureau, Shi Haitao, Vice President of Hainan Normal University, and She Jiading, Department of Physical Education and Physical Education of Hainan Provincial Education Department,delivered speeches respectively, and awarded and listed cards to Hainan Normal University, Liandong Middle School and three teaching points.

After the opening ceremony, leaders and guests visited the exhibition of aesthetic education achievements and guided the teaching of aesthetic education workshop in Liandong Middle School. According to reports, Professor Zhou Chunhua from the Academy of Fine Arts of our school and Mr. Chen Shengxian from Liandong Middle School of Wenchang City are responsible for the specific implementation of Hainan Project of Aesthetic Education Infiltration by the Ministry of Education. They led the volunteer team to carry out aesthetic education infiltration in Liandong Middle School of Wenchang City, and set up four workshops: “Traditional Painting and Calligraphy, “Wenchang Traditional Folk House Culture”, “Traditional Handicrafts” and “Comprehensive Material Painting”. In this exhibition of aesthetic education achievements, the teaching aids carefully produced by volunteers during the 2020 Aesthetic Education Infiltration Action Plan project of the Ministry of Education, as well as their colorful creative works and cultural and creative derivatives guiding Liandong children were exhibited.

During the period, She Jiading, Director of the Department of Physical Education and Physical Education of Hainan Provincial Education Department, presided over the symposium on “Hainan Provincial Education Department Implementing the Action Plan of Aesthetic Education Infiltration of the Ministry of Education”, pointing out that it is necessary to resolutely implement the important exposition on education by General Secretary Xi and the spirit of the National Education Conference, enhance the ability of universities to serve basic education, feed and educate people with the heart of public welfare, carry forward Chinese excellent traditional culture, educate people with aesthetic education, and persist in developing Wenchang local cultural characteristics. We hope that through this activity, we can explore the long-term mechanism of coordinated promotion among the government, universities and primary and secondary schools, fully stimulate the endogenous motivation of the reform and development of physical education aesthetic education in primary and secondary schools, and form a new pattern of aesthetic education in primary and secondary schools with multi-linkage, openness, efficiency and vitality, so as to jointly promote the characteristic development of aesthetic education in our province and serve the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port.

More than 200 people attended the event, including the heads of secondary art or design colleges of 10 universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts of Hainan Normal University and the College of Fine Arts and Design of Hainan University, the heads and teaching researchers in charge of art education from the Education Bureaus of Haikou, Wenchang and Sanya, the principals and art teachers of primary and secondary schools in Wenchang, the hosts of artists' studios of primary and secondary schools in Hainan Province, and the leaders of the cultural and educational town governments.
