According to the Notice of the Ministry of Education on Developing the Base of Inheriting Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture (Jiaotiyihan [2018] No.5) and the Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Education on Developing the Selection of the Base of Inheriting Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture in 2020 (Jiaotiyihan [2020] No.16), it has been independently declared by universities, recommended by provincial education administrative departments and selected by experts. The Ministry of Education plans to identify 26 bases as the inheritance bases of Chinese excellent traditional culture in national colleges and universities in 2020, among which the Brocade of Li nationalityinheritance project declared by the School of Fine Arts of our school has been approved as the inheritance bases of Chinese excellent traditional culture in national colleges and universities in 2020.The approved base is the only approved base in Hainan Province’s application for the base in the past three years, and it is the first national base platform obtained by the School of Fine Arts, which plays a very important supporting role for the School of Fine Arts to better inherit the traditional culture and art of Hainan Li nationality, and for the School of Fine Arts to attack doctoral programs and national first-class undergraduate majors.

This project is led by the School of Fine Arts and the Academic Affairs Office, cooperating with various functional departments of the school. The main person in charge of project declaration and project implementation is Professor Zhang Yin. The project is rooted in the artistic talent training mode of “integration of study, research, production and publicity” based on the inheritance of Li nationalityculture and art, integrating Brocade of Li nationality courses into compulsory professional courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students and public courses of the whole school, and constructing a complete knowledge system of Li nationality culture courses, thus forming a good trend of mutual promotion and integration between Brocade of Li nationality inheritance project and the artistic talent training system of the college.

The main construction objectives of the Brocade of Li nationality Heritage Project of the School of Fine Arts in three years include several key points: including curriculum construction, community construction and workshop construction around the dissemination of Li nationality culture and skills; Strengthening the scientific research on the inheritance and innovation of national traditional culture with the traditional brocade culture of Li nationality as an important content, and enhance the conversion rate of scientific research results; Relying on the base to carry out international and domestic college exchanges, build a communication platform, and set up the “Brocade of Li nationality Promotion and Creative Design Center of Hainan Normal University” to display the inheritance and innovation achievements of national traditional culture and promote the exchange of traditional culture among ethnic groups.
