In order to ensure the safe, stable, and orderly start of the autumn semester in 2023, on the afternoon of September 4th, Cao Xiankun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Department of Education, and a delegation came to our school to inspect the start of the semester. Our school's Party Committee Secretary Xu Mei, Party Committee Standing Committee Member and Vice President Chen Xianfeng, Vice President Han Xiaoyu, and relevant department heads participated in the survey.
Cao Xiankun and his delegation first visited the Art Museum of the Academy of Fine Arts to visit the "Maritime Silk Road: Contemporary Art Exhibition" held at our school. The museum manager introduced the exhibition's related theme content, and Cao Xiankun affirmed the Chinese cultural spirit displayed in our school's art exhibition.
Cao Xiankun and his delegation focused on investigating the collective preparation site for ideological and political theory courses in the Marxist Academy and the integrated construction of ideological and political courses in primary, secondary, and primary schools, and demanded that the role of ideological and political courses in cultivating morality and cultivating talents be effectively played. She’s aware of the progress of applying for doctoral programs in education at our school and was concerned about the difficulties faced by normal, public-funded students in serving basic education in Hainan. She hoped to further expand the scale of public-funded normal students and increase the intensity of basic education services in Hainan Province.
Finally, Cao Xiankun and his delegation went deep into the classroom and randomly listened to two courses: "Basic Principles of Marxism" and "Special Topics on Contemporary Education Concepts". She pointed out that in order to meet the needs of the new era's economic, social, and educational development, we should strengthen professional ideological education, teacher ethics education, and vocational skills training and comprehensively improve the quality of teacher training. As the cradle of teacher training, normal colleges should closely adhere to the requirements of the new era's teacher team construction, deepen teaching management and scientific research reform, improve educational governance level, and enhance the ability to run schools and educate people.
