The wind in the South China Sea is strong, and the ancient banyan leaves are evergreen. On September 9, more than 5,000 undergraduate students from the Class of 2023 gathered at Hainan Normal University from all over the world. With longing for the future and bright smiles, the freshmen of the class of 2023 have opened a new chapter in their lives at Marine Division.

This year's welcome work was carried out separately on the Longkunnan and Guilin Yang campuses. The school adheres to student-centered principles, with a clear division of labor and orderly cooperation among various units to ensure the smooth progress of the welcome work. At the Huanghuakang Gymnasium on the Longkunnan Campus and the cafeteria on the Guilin Yang Campus, each college has its own welcome tent. The registration process map and school floor plan are prominently displayed, and new student consultation points are also set up throughout the campus to answer any questions that new students may encounter during registration. Volunteers were arranged at the main intersection of the school road to provide road guidance, and the new students' registration work was carried out in an orderly manner.

The assistant team of the new class teacher was a strong guarantee for the smooth progress of the new student registration work. According to Yin Zixin, the assistant class teacher for new students, the assistant class teacher for new students will arrive at the registration points of each college at 7 a.m. to prepare for all new students' enrollment. After the arrival of new students, they will be provided with new student manuals, dormitory keys, and other items to help them sign in and select their dormitories. In the welcoming army, the "Party Flag Red" and "Volunteer Blue" together formed a beautiful scenery. The School of Liberal Arts has set up a party member service station downstairs in the freshmen dormitory. Student party members and young volunteers jointly carried out a series of volunteer service activities to protect the freshmen, practice the purpose of serving the people, and show their pioneering and model style.

 

Students from all over the country gathered at Hainan Normal University to become "little sea lions". At the beginning of the semester, the school will carry out military training and other entrance education activities for freshmen to strengthen students' bodies, hone their will, and help freshmen integrate into university life better and faster.

It is reported that in 2023, our school will open 63 enrollment majors to 31 provinces (cities, districts) and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions nationwide, with a total of 5619 new students admitted. Among them, there are a total of 5330 students in the regular college entrance examination and preparatory courses, and a total of 289 students in the college entrance examination, second bachelor's degree examination, and Hong Kong diploma examination. The admission of normal school students accounts for 51%, which further highlights the characteristics of normal schools.
