On the morning of September 8th at 9 o'clock, our school held a new semester opening teaching work meeting in the conference room on the first floor of the first office building in Longkunnan Campus. Vice President Han Xiaoyu presided over the meeting, with the participation of relevant functional departments such as teaching leaders in charge of each college, school teaching supervision, and the academic affairs office.

 

At the meeting, the person in charge of the Academic Affairs Office reported on the operation of teaching at the beginning of the semester and arranged work on key areas such as the reform of talent training plans, the construction of first-class undergraduate majors, the application of first-class courses, and professional certification for this semester. At the same time, he emphasized that academic affairs work should be planned, standardized, constructed, and operated with a focus on strengthening the "four styles" of cultivating teaching style, promoting learning style, strict examination style, and emphasizing style, so as to make the daily teaching of maritime teachers a distinctive, meaningful, and effective "maritime teacher signboard".

 

The attendees had a heated exchange and discussion on the problems in teaching management work and how to promote key teaching tasks.

 

Han Xiaoyu affirmed the work arrangement of the Academic Affairs Office and the efforts made by each college and hoped that each college would also increase its efforts to promote practical projects for teachers and students, guide them to understand the school's determination to do practical things for them. She emphasized that teaching work should be steadfastly implemented with a people-oriented approach, with undergraduate education as the central task, and promote the high-quality development of education and teaching. We must firmly implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents, run through the entire process of talent cultivation, and promote the improvement of talent cultivation quality. In the process of teaching operation, it is necessary to closely focus on the key links of undergraduate teaching, with the four links of curriculum, major, certification, and evaluation as the core tasks, firmly grasp the standardization of undergraduate education and teaching, do a good job in the construction of academic style, teaching style, and work style, and further promote the improvement of teaching level. The Academic Affairs Office and other relevant departments should focus on the main responsibility of education and teaching, return to teaching, and do a good job in service guarantee.
