From September 11th to 12th, our school held a departure ceremony for 1925 interns and 47 resident guidance teachers who will be sent to 18 cities and counties in Hainan Province to participate in on-the-job and educationally intensive internships at Guilin Yang Campus and Longkunnan Campus. Xu Mei, Secretary of the School Party Committee, President Guo Jianchun, Vice President Han Xiaoyu, and heads of various functional departments and colleges attended the farewell ceremony. This work was specifically organized and implemented by the Faculty of Teacher Education.

This internship and education focused on 141 middle schools in 18 cities and counties, including Qiongzhong, Baisha, Dongfang, and Ledong, lasting for two months. Teachers and students from 13 colleges, including the School of Marxism, the School of Literature, the School of Mathematics and Statistics, and the School of Foreign Languages, participated. Among them, 486 interns from 8 disciplines will replace 243 township high school teachers from 11 cities and counties to receive training and further education at Hainan Normal University. The school also hired 488 provincial backbone teachers and provincial subject leaders as internship guidance teachers, forming 18 workshops covering 13 secondary school disciplines.

Before departure, the school leaders took the bus and bid farewell to the students, encouraging them to overcome difficulties, help each other, deepen their understanding of basic education on the front lines, and fully apply the knowledge learned from textbooks to teaching practice. At the same time, they hoped that students would remember the "three roles": as a normal student of a maritime teacher, being humble and eager to learn in your internship position; as an honorable teacher of the people, being strict with yourself to be a good teacher with the standards of "Four Haves"; and as a responsible adult, strengthening self-management and adhering to safety first. They hoped that students could showcase the charm of Haishi students with a full mental state, good professional ethics, and a serious learning attitude. And they wished everyone success in their studies and a safe return.

It is reported that on-the-job teaching support belongs to the "Double 500" talent project in Hainan Province, which has been implemented since 2006, this year is the 18th year of Hainan Normal University's implementation of the "Double 500" project, aiming to strengthen the construction of rural primary and secondary school teachers in our province, improve local basic education teaching levels, and promote the balanced development of basic education in our province. So far, our school has nearly 11,000 outstanding normal students who have participated in on-the-job internship activities, and nearly 6,000 township teachers have returned to charge.
