To assist rural teachers in updating their teaching concepts, enhance their professional literacy, cultivate educational sentiments, and achieve sustainable development, from September 12th to 23rd, our school's School of Primary Education undertook the 2023 Hainan Province Township Primary School Music, Art, and Science Backbone Teacher Teaching Ability Improvement Training Project.
At the class opening ceremony, Han Xiaoyu affirmed the efforts made by the School of Primary Education to improve the quality of teacher training. The person in charge of the School of Primary Education introduced the training program and provided a message. Professor Li Jingjing, the representative of the training expert, and Professor Xiong Chengxia, the representative of the trainees, respectively, gave speeches on the design ideas of the training course and the prospects for training and learning.
At the graduation ceremony, the head of the School of Primary Education, as well as the heads of various disciplines and homeroom teachers, awarded honorary certificates to outstanding students. In combination with their own expertise and research content, the students carried out colorful talent performances such as singing, paper cutting, calligraphy, and so on. The scientific discipline participants demonstrated exquisite teaching aids and interesting experiments. After the performance, the students presented their paper cuttings, calligraphy, and painting works to the School of Primary Education.
It is reported that this training project aimed to "build a new type of classroom, stimulate endogenous motivation, and improved teaching professional literacy". It has designed five modules of content, including online prerequisite courses, educational theory topics, teaching theory topics, famous teacher on-the-job training topics, and classroom practice participatory training topics. Online prerequisite courses focus on subject humanities literacy and instructional design abilities; the special topic on educational theory focuses on participating teachers' deeper understanding of the concept of core literacy cultivation and homeschool collaborative education, as well as the "master" professional spirit of teachers in the new era; the teaching theory section focuses on the forefront of subject teaching; and specialized training schools have organized students to conduct training in multiple high-quality schools within the province.
