On September 23rd, the 8th Hainan Provincial Student "Learning and Speaking Constitution" Provincial Competition, hosted by the Hainan Provincial Department of Education and Hainan Vocational and Technical College, came to an end. Li Siying, a student from Class 1 of Law School in 2021, won the second prize in the university group of the speech competition, and Zhang Ning, a student from Class 2 of Law School in 2021, won the first prize in the university group of the literacy competition.

 

It is reported that the 8th Hainan Provincial Student "Learning and Speaking the Constitution" Provincial Competition was divided into speeches competition and literacy competition, covering all 18 cities, counties, primary and secondary schools, and students of all stages. It was divided into three stages: preliminary competition, provincial semi-competition, and provincial final competition for each city, county, and relevant school, lasting for more than 5 months. Our school's Party Committee attached great importance to this competition. The Student Affairs Department (Office), in conjunction with the Law School, has selected Li Siying and Zhang Ning as representatives of the school to participate in the competition. At the same time, Tang Xinyu and Zhang Liqin from the Law School has been selected as guidance teachers for meticulous guidance. Li Siying and Zhang Ning, two classmates, achieved excellent results in the semifinals and finals, fully demonstrating the excellent demeanor of our school's legal students.

 

This competition effectively promoted the publicity and popularization of constitutional knowledge among teachers and students in our school, and improved the legal literacy of all teachers and students in the school. In the future, our school will continue to deeply study and implement  Xi Jinping’s thoughts on the rule of law, create a strong atmosphere for learning constitutional knowledge and promoting the spirit of the constitution among all teachers and students, and deepen and implement the work of legal education.
