On the morning of October 20th, President Chen Xiangsong and Vice President Han Xiaoyu and their delegation went to Wenchang to attend the launch ceremony of the "Professor-Doctoral Team Serves Basic Education" project to assist Wenchang Liandong Middle School and visited students who interned in Wenchang.

Wang Tingtai, Vice Mayor of Wenchang City; Huang Youbao, Chief Superintendent of Education; and Zhang Guangrun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Education Bureau, attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Huang Youbao.

At the ceremony, Han Xiaoyu introduced the background of Hainan Normal University’s “Professor and Doctoral Team Serving Basic Education” project.

Tingtai stated that the "Professor-Doctoral Team Serves Basic Education" project of Hainan Normal University was implemented at Liandong Middle School in Wenchang City, providing strong support and assistance for the development of Wenchang's education industry and providing strong guarantees for the cultivation and training of high-quality and professional teacher teams in Wenchang. The Municipal Education Bureau and Liandong Middle School should do a good job in logistics support and teacher mobilization, cooperate and achieve win-win results, and do good deeds and great things.

Chen Xiangsong pointed out that the "Professor-Doctoral Team Serves Basic Education" project of our university was a specific measure to implement the decisions and deployments of the Hainan Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government on rural education revitalization, aimed to deepen cooperation between universities and local governments, promoted the deep integration of higher education and basic education, and contributed the wisdom and strength of teachers to improve the level of basic education in Hainan and achieve balanced development of basic education.

After the ceremony, Chen Xiangsong and Han Xiaoyu visited our school's interns at Wenchang Middle School and Liandong Middle School and had a friendly face-to-face exchange with them. Chen Xiangsong hoped that interns would have the spirit of not being afraid of hardship, wholeheartedly working on the education industry, and a sense of crisis in times of peace, making contributions to building a socialist, modernized country.
