On October 21st, President Chen Xiangsong, a member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee, and Vice President Chen Xianfeng and their delegation went to Wuzhishan City to participate in the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between Hainan Normal University and Wuzhishan City and to visit interns at the top of their positions in Wuzhishan City. Chen Guoliang, Mayor of Wuzhishan Municipal Government; Jia Peng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of the Municipal Government; and Zheng Qirong, Vice Mayor, attended the signing ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Jia Peng.

At the ceremony, Chen Guoliang stated that the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two sides will expand the cooperation space for education, discipline and professional construction, scientific research, and other aspects of Hainan Normal University. It will also bring new opportunities, create new conditions, and win new advantages in promoting the high-quality development of basic education in Wuzhishan. The Wuzhishan Municipal Party Committee and Government will take the signing of contracts as a new starting point, adopt a "one family" attitude, use the highest quality, most efficient, and most convenient services, actively seize opportunities, focus on the inheritance of ethnic culture, high-quality education development, research on the "four reservoirs" and "traditional Chinese medicine" of the rainforest, and rainforest ecological research, and fully promote cooperation in areas such as quick results and fruitful results. It is hoped that Hainan Normal University will continue to support the development of Wuzhishan, promote more "Haishi people" to work and start businesses in Wuzhishan, continue to provide strong intellectual and talent support for the high-quality development of Wuzhishan, and make common contributions to the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port.

Chen Xiangsong pointed out that Hainan Normal University and Wuzhishan City have conducted in-depth and close cooperation in multiple important fields, such as education development, talent cultivation, and rainforest research, and have accumulated valuable experience. The signing of this strategic cooperation agreement marked a new stage of cooperation between the two sides. The school will fully implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important speeches and instructions on Hainan work, actively compare the content of the agreement, and based on the objective development situation and around the strategic needs of Wuzhishan City, give full play to its own scientific research, talents, and platform advantages, and in talent training, rainforest Carry out deeper and wider cooperation in various aspects such as "Four Banks" research, ethnic education research, and ethnic cultural inheritance, achieve deep integration and common growth between the school and the local area, and work together to create a vivid model of school-local cooperation.

 

Chen Xianfeng and Zheng Qirong signed the contract on behalf of both parties, with Chen Xiangsong, Chen Guoliang, and relevant persons in charge of both parties confirming their signatures. After the ceremony, both parties held an exchange symposium to summarize the preliminary cooperation results based on the agreement content, focused on in-depth exchanges and discussions on talent cultivation, high-quality education development, and research on the "four reservoirs" of rainforest.

It is reported that Hainan Normal University and the Wuzhishan Municipal People's Government had a strategic cooperation agreement with a five-year cooperation period. They will thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during his inspection of Hainan and Wuzhishan. Based on the principle of "complementary advantages, win-win cooperation, and common development", Hainan Normal University will fully leverage its talent, education, technology, and disciplinary advantages, as well as the resources, environment, location, and policy advantages of Wuzhishan City. In-depth cooperation will be carried out in areas such as educational development, talent cultivation, and rainforest research.

Chen Xiangsong and his delegation also visited the internship students at Hainan Agricultural Reclamation Experimental High School, listened to their daily lives and internship reports, and sent condolences to the students. He urged the students to cherish internship opportunities, humbly study and seek advice, strictly demanded themselves with the standards of "Four Haves" as good teachers, and conscientiously complete the internship work.
