From October 16th to 17th, our school held open legal publicity and education classes with the theme "Learning Laws, Obeying Laws, Using Usage, Youth Building a Dream Campus" for freshmen and a viewing party of the legal film "In the Name of the Law" at the Longkunnan and Guilinyang campuses, respectively. About a thousand teachers and students participated in the series of legal popularization and education activities.
The event specially invited Lin Biheng, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of our school's law school, to give an open class on legal popularization. He introduced in detail the relevant legal provisions and constituent elements such as "the crime of helping and trusting" (the crime of assisting information network criminal activities), "campus loans", "the crime of purchasing and smuggling", and "drug-related crimes", and explained the case to the students. Through case studies, he explained to his classmates the serious consequences of participating in crimes. Lin Biheng warned students to be more vigilant in the face of various campus frauds. Illegal buying and selling, leasing phone cards and bank cards, "smuggling," and "drug-related activities" are all illegal and criminal activities.
Through this law popularization and education activity, teachers and students of our school had an in-depth understanding of the law, realized the importance of obeying the law, and expressed their desire to better maintain social order, fairness, and justice, be good citizens in the new era who study, abide by, and used the law, and jointly contributed to the sound and fast development of various undertakings of the school.
