On September 21st, the 14th China International Digital Publishing Expo (hereinafter referred to as “Digital Expo”) opened at the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, with the theme “Innovation for Quality, Digital Win for the Future”. To assist with the 14th Digital Expo, our university, at the invitation of the Provincial Propaganda Department, launched a volunteer recruitment drive, carefully selecting 100 youth volunteers to provide support services.
From September 18th to 23rd, our 100 volunteers were stationed at the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, Haikou Meilan Airport, and various hotels to provide services such as foreign language translation, venue guidance, credential consultation, and conference reception for domestic and international exhibitors, companies, and visitors. Their attentive and professional service was highly praised by all parties, showcasing the responsibility and commitment of Hainan Normal University’s youth in the new era. Their efforts contributed significantly to the successful conclusion of the 14th Digital Expo. In addition, the University’s Youth League Committee, utilizing the Banyan Tree Education Practice Course and integrating academic and professional characteristics, organized over 400 young students from the School of Physics and Electronic Engineering, the School of Mathematics and Statistics, and the School of Information Science and Technology to visit the Digital Expo. They explored the applications of modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and cloud computing in the field of digital publishing, and experienced VR racing, electronic calligraphy, and games such as“Black Myth: Wukong”, truly appreciating a cultural feast that blends knowledge, humanities, and technology. This experience ignited the students’ enthusiasm for technological innovation.
Looking ahead, the Youth League Committee will continue to recruit, train, manage, and support volunteers for large-scale events at the university,. constantly inspiring service enthusiasm among the university’s youth. Through their actions, they will continue to embody the spirit of dedication, friendship, mutual assistance, and progress, further enhancing the reputation of “Hainan Normal University Youth Volunteers” and contributing to the accelerated development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
