September 17th marks the Mid-Autumn Festival and is also a critical juncture for our faculty and students, who have united in their efforts to combat the impact of the storm and achieve initial success. To boost morale and create a festive atmosphere of reunion and joy, the school’s Youth League Committee organized the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration “After the Storm, Together Under the Full Moon”, co-hosted by the Student Affairs Department, and jointly undertaken by the University Art Troupe and the Student Union, taking place simultaneously at the athletic fields of both the Longkun South Campus and the Guilinyang Campus. Leaders from the Student Affairs Department, the Youth League Committee, the School of Physical Education, freshmen counselors from secondary colleges, all freshmen students of the 2024 cohort, and instructors participated in this wholesome event.
During the celebration, the performances included dances, songs, and rap performances presented by the University Art Troupe, the Student Union, and secondary colleges, with highlights such as a singing competition featuring songs like “Battle Hymn of a Strong Army”, which kept the audience engaged and the applause continuous. Although there were occasional light rains during the event, they did not dampen the enthusiasm of the students; instead, they enhanced the atmosphere, allowing everyone to enjoy a beautiful evening.
The aim of this Mid-Autumn Festival celebration is to help students more deeply appreciate the preciousness of a peace and prosperity after the typhoon, guiding them to strengthen their aspirations for a better life. Simutaneously, under the influence of excellent traditional culture, it seeks to continuously enhance national pride and cultural confidence, reinforce their love for their country and school, and inspire them to become responsible new individuals committed to the rejuvenation of the nation.
