On May 25th, Hainan Normal University held the 13th Young Teacher Teaching Competition at the Tin Ka Ping Teaching Building in the Longkun South Campus. After careful cultivation by numerious colleges, 28 teachers were selected to participate in the competition, covering disciplines such as Management, Literature, History, Law, and Science. Vice President Han Xiaoyu provided on-site guidance for the competition, with representatives from the Education Union and the Academic Affairs Office present to organize the event.
In this competition, our young teachers, under the guidance and support of their teaching and research offices and teaching supervisors, delved deeply into interpreting curriculum standards and textbooks. They focused on the core competencies required for professional training, aligned closely with teaching objectives, and refined their teaching designs based on the learning situation, repeatedly polishing their lessons for improvement, resulting in more efficient and innovative courses. During the competition, judges assessed the performance by reviewing teaching materials, observing the teaching process in a no-student classroom setting, and examining teaching reflection materials, which contributed to the overall evaluation of the competition results.
This competition further promoted our university’s teaching reform, facilitated innovation in teaching methods, and laid a solid foundation for cultivating high-quality, innovative educational talents needed for satisfying the public as well as supporting the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
