On May 23rd, the 2024 8th China University Wushu Sanda Championship (High-Level Group) concluded in Qian’an, Hebei.
Hainan Normal University’s Sanda team, led by Associate Professor Huang Guangzhi, submitted five athletes to compete and achieved outstanding results in the Professional Group (Bing Group A), securing 1 gold, 3 bronze, and a 5th place finish. Zhang Zetao won 1st place in the Men’s 90kg category (Bing Group A). Feng Junhan, Xu Yinmin, and Wang Jiale each won bronze medals in the 58kg, 80kg, and over 100kg categories, respectively. Chen Pinlin finished 5th in the 68kg category.
The competition attracted 1,683 athletes from 165 universities, including Beijing Sport University, Shanghai University of Sport, and Hainan Normal University.
